Which Meal plan is best for my student?
This is one of the most commonly asked questions. The decision to choose which one has a lot to do with an individual's eating habits and lifestyle. We have found that for students who prefer to eat several smaller meals during the day, a healthy way to go; the Unlimited Meal Plan would be the best deal since we have allotted 10,000 meals on the Meal Plan per semester, and a student on this plan would never run out of meals.
The Value Meal Plan (224 per semester) is just fine for students using the Dining Commons 14 times a week or an average of two meals per day. For students who might skip breakfast or often go home on weekends; for them the Value Meal Plan is best. If students run low on meals, they can upgrade to the Unlimited Meal Plan or purchase additional meals.
Can I upgrade my student meal plan anytime?
Yes you can upgrade from the Value Plan to the Unlimited Meal Plan by contracting the meal plan office at 413-545-1362 or order online. We need your student ID #; the difference will appear on your bursar's bill.
If students are on the Value Plan, are they allowed to eat just two meals daily?
No, you can eat 3 or 4 meals per day, since our meal plan is a block plan, there is a set number of meals for the semester; there is no limit on the number of meals consumed each day. For the value meal plan, we deduct each meal from the 224 meals that you are entitled to, similar to a debit account. If a student is running out of meals, just contact the Meal Plan Office 413-545-1362, to purchase additional meals.
How will I know you received my Gifts from Home order I placed online? You will receive a confirmation email from us within 2 business days of placing your order.
How much time is needed to have a Gifts from Home order delivered? One week is needed to process your gifts from home order.
