All freshman and sophomores living in the residence halls are required to purchase one of the three residential meal plans. All other students may select one of these residential meal plans or any of the “Your Campus Meal Plans” (YCMP). The residential plans include meals at dining commons and meal exchanges that can be used at our retail dining areas.

Residential Meal Plans

Unlimited Meal Plan $2090.00 per semester

Offers unlimited access to any dining common with 12 meal exchanges and 15 guest meals. Best value for the more frequent user. It’s an excellent choice for students accustomed to eating 3 meals or more daily.

Value Meal Plan $1795.00 per semester

Offers 224 meals each semester (an average of 14 meals per week) and includes 9 meal exchanges and 15 guest meals. Ideal for moderate eaters and students who leave campus occasionally on weekends.

North Apartment Plan $1140.00 per semester
For North Residential Area Undergraduate Apartments Only

Offers 112 meals for each semester (an average of 7 meals per week) and includes 5 meal exchanges and 15 guest meals. Ideal for students looking for the convenience of eating and socializing at any of the dining commons on campus.

Kosher Option $200.00 additional

This is an additional charge to any meal plan per semester. Dinner is available at Franklin Dining Commons.

What are Meal Exchanges?

As an enhancement to the residential meal plan, we offer meal exchanges/flex meals to use at the retail outlets (The Hatch, The Marketplace Café, Fresh Express, The BlueWall Eatery, The Blue Wall Café, The Southwest Café, Whitmore Café, Whitmore Express, Physical Plant Café and Pita Pit) with a cash value of $7.75 a la carte. If the meal costs more than $7.75 the balance can be paid with cash, a debit or credit card.

How do I sign up?

For freshmen and the sophomores living in the residence halls, we have pre-selected the Value Meal Plan for you and it will be included on your bill from the Bursar's office. If you would like to upgrade to another plan such as the Unlimited Meal Plan or add the kosher option, there is a line on the bill for meal plan adjustments. Want to purchase more meals or upgrade to a higher meal plan?

Short of meals? Additional meals may be purchased at any time during the semester.

For Residential Meal Plans, you can upgrade to the Unlimited Plan online or purchase additional meals, 21 meals for $168 or 11 meals for $88, at the Meal Plan Office at Franklin Dining Commons.
