Toks Oyedemi is a PhD candidate in communication at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His interest is on New media, ICT policy and regulation, technology and society, and communication and social change. He was a member of an international working group on capacity building and knowledge exchange in the Telecom/ICT Sector in Africa (Known as NetTel@Africa). His research and publications focus on social inequality and new technologies, technology, development and social change. He is currently in South Africa conducting his doctoral research on the pattern and quality of internet access and the role of technology in social change in South Africa.
