Michael Hamel is a 2007 Research Fellow with the NCDG. He is a master’s candidate in Public Policy and Administration at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Hamel received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Westfield State College in 2005.
Hamel has participated in the E-Government Institute at Portland State University and worked on e-government projects for the City of Boston, Massachusetts. He is currently helping with the development and implementation of an open source geographic information systems course and is conducting research on open source collaborations in government.
