Aaron Schein

Aaron Schein is a 2010-2011 graduate research fellow with NCDG. Aaron is a candidate for an M.A. in Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a concentration in Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing. He earned his undergraduate degree from UMass in Political Science and Linguistics. Aaron's interests lie at the crossroads of computational methods, linguistics, and social science. He works closely with the Computer Science Department in the Computational Social Science lab for his Master's thesis in sentiment analysis and opinion mining. Previous undergraduate research includes a study which employs computational techniques to compare the language of news articles on the US drone campaign from different media outlets.
