Diego R. Canabarro

Mr. Canabarro is a PhD candidate in Political Science/International Politics at the Federal Unifersity of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. He works as a research and teaching assistant at the Center for International Studies on Government of the same university (CEGOV/UFRGS). His research agenda explores the relation between ICT adoption, state capacity, and democracy, focusing on the assessment of digital government applications by governmental agencies. He has worked on several research projects on digital government and digital governance for the Brazilian Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management, and for the Inter American Development Bank. During his residency at the NCDG, Diego will work on his doctoral dissertation, which deals the implications of the politics of Internet governance for the study of political science and international relations.
