Internship Match Day - April 21, 2008
The internship class will be announced by D and D Digital. Once all matched interns have confirmed their acceptance into the internship, the Internship Director will send an email to the new class and will arrange to talk with each new intern.
Note: April 21, 2008 is a holiday in Massachusetts. Therefore, if you are matched to the UMass Dietetic Internship you may leave a phone message on the answering machine or send a fax with your acceptance on the 21st and someone will contact you on Tuesday to confirm receipt of your confirmation.
Dietetic Internship - Applications Closed for 2008
- Small class size provides individual attention
- Wide variety of affiliated rotation sites, many within a 60-mile (most within a 30-mile) radius of Amherst, Massachusetts. Intern preferences used to select sites.
- 10 1/2 -month program, mid-August–end of June
- 24–30 hours per week
- Culturally and intellectually vibrant, yet rural, picturesque, location
- Top-notch, dedicated, and caring preceptors
Special Features of the University of Massachusetts Dietetic Internship
- Interns are encouraged to submit abstracts for poster presentations at State and National Meetings. Last year 6 interns presented posters.
- Preclinical intensive program (2-weeks) to help interns prepare for their clinical rotation.
- Joint internship days (twice a year) with UConn and Keene State.
- Group budget project that culminates in a presentation to Hospital Food Service Directors
- Interesting seminar presenters on a variety of topics
