Free Kesha Part II- Radio Interview

WMUA Staff spoke with CWC about sexual violence. WMUA has been following the case of the pop singer Kesha who has filed a lawsuit against her record manager for ongoing emotional and sexual abuse. CWC staff discussed the under-reporting of sexual violence, why survivors are reluctant to go public with their stories and how communities can prevent violence and reduce the stigma survivors often face.

Discussion Group focuses on violence in LGBTQIA communities

CWC Staff facilitated a conversation with Stonewall Center staff and community members addressing sexual and relationship violence in the queer community. Discussion included defining abuse, why survivors are reluctant to come forward to report and the challenges of creating a safe space for queer survivors.
