The Collaborative Teacher Education Pathway (CTEP) is a 10-month program that offers a Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) leading to Initial Massachusetts Licensure in either Elementary or Early Childhood Education. IMPORTANT NOTE: January 2012 is the last application cycle for those seeking Early Childhood Licensure through CTEP. During this final application cycle for prospective early childhood students, only UMass undergraduates will be considered for admission. Early Childhood Licensure at UMass Amherst will be offered instead through the undergraduate education major. However, CTEP will continue to accept prospective Elementary Licensure students. |
CTEP seeks dynamic students interested in an intensive, full-time program of study that is rooted in constructivist theory with emphasis on active investigation, collaboration, problem solving, dialogue and reflection. |
