Student Success Centers

We all have the same goal: we want every student at UMass Amherst to receive a comprehensive education, build their knowledge and experience, prepare for careers and life, and have great time along the way.

Every student at UMass Amherst has the ability to succeed—but every student eventually needs some assistance. If you take advantage of our Student Success Centers you’ll find the journey a little smoother and a lot more enriching.

The following is an alphbetical list of Student Success Centers:

Everywoman's Center (EWC)
EWC's mission is to provide leadership in promoting educational access and equity for women, to empower women to take full control of their lives and to strengthen the connections among women.

The Office of Jewish Affairs
The Office of Jewish Affairs provides a range of educational programs, individual and institutional advocacy, and bridge-building activities designed to foster a safe and welcoming campus environment for Jewish and all other students, staff, and faculty.

The Office of Programs and Services for
ALANA Students

The Office of Programs and Services for ALANA (Asian, Latino(a), African and Native American) Students is committed to working with students, student leaders, faculty, and administrators regarding issues that affect the quality of education and campus life for ALANA students. The following programs are available through this office:

The Bilingual Collegiate Program (BCP)
The BCP's mission is to ensure the recruitment, retention and graduation of hispanics and other bilingual students at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. They provide many essential academic and cultural services to students interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree.

The Committee for the Collegiate Education of Black and other Minority Students (CCEBMS)
The mission of CCEBMS is to facilitate the admission, development and graduation of African American, Asian American, Native American, Cape Verdean, Latino, and other students of color. CCEBMS advisors work individually with students to assist them with course selections as well as strategies for improved learning and academic performance.

Native American Student Support Program (NASSP)
The goals of the NASSP are to provide an academically and culturally enriched environment for Native American students through mentoring, personal counseling and connections with indigenous communities and organizations.

United Asia Learning Resource Center (UALRC)
The UALRC serves the needs of Asian and Asian American students, the largest minority group on campus. The Center supports student academic achievement by providing culturally sensitive services that promote cultural and ethnic diverstiy.

Women of Color Leadership Network (WOCLN)
WOCLN provides a home away from home for African American, Latina, Asian American, Native American, Middle Eastern American, multiracial, and multicultural women. WOCLN provides advocacy, coaching, mentoring, internships, and a wide range of workshops and events, all with the aim of strengthening self-identity as well as community.

The Stonewall Center
The Stonewall Center is a resource center for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, and staff.
