How to Keep an RSO Active

RSOs must meet certain requirements in order to maintain an active status. These requirements must be met each fall semester or when new officers are elected.

  • Fill out an RSO Information Sheet
The information provided goes on record as the official information for your RSO. This will help maintain accurate records and make it easy for interested parties to keep in touch with you.

  • Submit a list of RSO members
Submit the list to the RSO Resource Center or e-mail it to csd@stuaf.umass.edu.

  • Submit an Anti-Hazing Compliance Form
Hazing is illegal in Massachusetts. Every member of the organization must agree to comply with the law.

  • Attend an RSO Officer Orientation Session
All RSO officers are required to attend an orientation session. These orientation sessions provide important information and allow officers signature authority for their RSO.
