05/12/08 EPA Denies Approval of Section 18 for Use of Kerb in 2008.

04/26/07 Section 18 Emergency Exemption for Kerb is Approved! We have received the revised labels from the registrant. Paperwork will be available from local ag dealers or the Cranberry Station. It is now legal to purchase and use Kerb.

07/21/06 Diazinon 14G is Approved for use in Cranberry for Management of Cranberry
Girdler.
  Under a special local needs registration (24C) approved by MDAR, Diazinon 14G made by Wilbur Ellis can be used now and for the next 2 growing seasons to manage girdler. A supplemental label is available at the vendors and at the cranberry station and is necessary if you wish to apply the material. Broadcast  21 lbs per acre or spot treat as necessary.  Granules should fall through the vines to the soil surface.  Irrigate immediately after application to insure that diazinon has contact with larvae living in the leaf litter. Only one application per season - mid to late July. Do not apply to ditch banks or ditch water.Ground application only, no chemigation or aerial application allowed. Hold water for 7 days. 5 Day REI.

05/05/06 Germinated Dodder Found on State Bog on Thursday May 4, 2006. Many seedlings were found on a warm edge of Howes. Growers should be inspecting to determine if dodder is germinating on their bogs.

04/11/06 Section 18 Permit Granted for Use of Kerb on Cranberries. The 2006 label is available at points of distribution and the Cranberry Station. Conditions of use are the same as in 2005. The Section 18 expires June 15, 2006. For details on use and other info, click here.

04/07/06 April Newsletter with Corrected Keeping Quality Forecast
A postcard with corrected KQF has been sent to all growers on the mailing list. The KQF in the April newsletter mailed out 5 April is NOT correct. However, the link above will take you to a modified version of the April newsletter with the corrected information already inserted.
