Koru: Mindfulness and Meditation Workshop

Are you feeling pressured or stressed? Are you interested in learning new skills that can enrich your life? Research shows that students who participate in Koru* feel less stressed, sleep better, are more mindful, and feel more compassion for themselves, a key element in resiliency.

To make sure you get the most out of the workshop, students are asked to commit to attending all four sessions, and to practicing the skills taught at least 10 minutes a day during the workshop period. The text for the workshop is Wherever You Go, There You Are, by Jon Kabat-Zinn, which is available on reserve at the library, at your local bookstore, or online.

Workshops tend to fill quickly so click here to find out more or to pre-register. Please send us your name, phone number and preferred session dates and we will get back to you.

*Koru is the Maori word for the unfurling fern frond, representing the natural balance between growth and stability.
