APPENDIX - APPLICATION INFORMATION
Agency Specific Questions
- Describe the most significant learning experience you have had
during supervision or with a client.
- Describe your strength/limitations as a counselor/therapist.
include some statement of those areas in which you expect to
work/grow during your internship.
- Please discuss your orientation to counseling/therapy and what
skills you see as necessary to promote a therapeutic relationship.
- Summarize your interest and experience in psychological assessment.
- Please state your level of interest in the area of learning
disabilities and include any pertinent experience you may have had
with this population.
- Statement of interest: Please discuss your specific goals for the
internship and your reason for applying to this internship site.
- What are your plans after completing your degree?
In addition to your APPIC application form, the following materials
must be received no later than November 20, 2006.
- Current vita.
- Official transcript for ALL your graduate work.
- Reference letters by three persons who have observed your
academic and/or applied performance. Please ask that the reference
letters address both strengths and weaknesses. At least one
letter must be written by an individual who has supervised you in
a counseling/psychotherapy field of experience.
