On Nov. 10, 2016, Edwin Gentzler's new book, Translation and Rewriting in the Age of Post-Translation Studies (London: Routledge) has officially been published. In it, he argues that rewritings of literary works have taken translation to a new level: literary texts no longer simply originate, but rather circulate, moving internationally and intersemiotically into new media and forms. Drawing on traditional translations, rewritings, and creative adaptations, he examines the cultures from which translations emerge and the post-translation influence they have on literature and the arts in the receiving culture.
