Public Talk: David Maraniss, "Once in a Great City"
David Maraniss will read from his new book, Once in a Great City: A Detroit Story, on Wednesday, September 23 at 4 p.m. in the Communication Hub on the 3rd floor of the Integrative Learning Center.
A Detroit native, Maraniss is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and associate editor at the Washington Post. He is the author of six critically acclaimed books, including Barack Obama: The Story and Clemente: The Passion and Grace of Baseball's Last Hero. His public reading will be followed by a Q&A and a book signing in the Journalism Department's Ziff Gallery on the 4th floor of the ILC. Refreshments will be served.
