


Please join us for a public lecture by Jonathan Bloom titled "Forsaken Food: Why We Waste Nearly Half of our Food (and What We Can Do About It)."
Jonathan Bloom is a journalist and food waste expert who wrote the book American Wasteland: How America Throws Away Nearly Half of Its Food and created the blog, Wasted Food. He has spoken on food waste from South Bend to Santiago to Singapore. He also consults on food waste reduction, most recently working with the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization, General Mills, and several start-ups.
Bloom's visit is a part of the Stockbridge School's Lecture Series and co-sponsored by CNS, UMass Libraries, Department of Communication, Center for Public Policy and Administration, and UMass Dining.
