Let us tell you about ourselves

A diverse, dedicated group of people

Some facts about us:

  • Ten staffers keep the office and video studio running
  • Our most steadfast staff member, April Tidlund, has been with the department since October 1965
  • Some 80 graduate students are enrolled in our MA and PhD programs
  • We welcome visiting scholars from around the world, some in residence for a few weeks, others for as long as a year
  • The number of books and articles our faculty members produce places the department in the top 25 in the United States, according to the Association for Communication Administration
