Reese Erlich, a freelance foreign correspondent, working in the Middle East, will present a talk about his new book "Inside Syria: The Backstory of their Civil War and What the World Can Expect." Based on numerous reporting trips to the region, Erlich will discuss the growth of Syrian extremist rebel groups, the status of the Assad regime, foreign intervention and the failure of U.S. policy. He will provide up to date analysis and what the new U.S. president faces in one of the world's major crises.  Cosponsors: College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the Departments of Communication,Political Science, Journalism, and Economics.
