We are delighted to report a new colleague will be joining us as Honors Assistant Professor of Communication in Fall 2013. Dr. Seth Goldman, currently the George Gerbner Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, will be arriving this fall.

PhD candidate Sreela Sarkar has been invited by the Open Society Foundations to participate in a global policy forum titled Sports Mega Events and the Crisis of Youth Exclusion. To be held at Goldsmiths University in London in April 2012, the forum brings together international scholars, practitioners, civil society activists and youth on the eve of the London Summer Olympic Games. Sreela will present her research on urban cleansing and marginalized youth in the context of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
