Undergraduate Ceremony Overview

The Undergraduate Commencement ceremony for the Class of 2012 will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 4:00 p.m., rain or shine, at McGuirk Alumni Stadium on the campus of UMass Amherst. Students should arrive at 3:00 p.m. The ceremony is scheduled to conclude at 5:30 p.m. A reception hosted by Chancellor Holub will take place immediately following the Commencement ceremony.

Tickets are not necessary and graduating seniors may invite as many guests as they wish.

Parking is free; shuttle buses will take guests to the stadium from campus lots. Please allow plenty of travel time to reach campus, park, and arrive at the stadium. Guests should plan to arrive on campus by 2:00 p.m. Stadium seating is unreserved.

Faculty attending the Ceremony will gather at the south end of the Stadium by 3:30 p.m. Regalia is required.

Separate Recognition Ceremonies for each School and College will be held Thursday, May 10 through Saturday, May 12 at sites across campus.
