Dear Classmate: Soon we will be graduating and leaving the University of Massachusetts with fond memories. So much has happened to all of us while we were students here, and we can all look forward to moving on as UMass Alumni. With the knowledge and the degree that we have earned, we are prepared for success in our future endeavors. As we step firmly into the new millennium, we are assured that the education and reputation of UMass will be a powerful advantage in the competitive job market that we will face. The University continues to gain national public recognition for being an institution of excellence. As UMass graduates, we are a fundamental element of that excellence. The Senior Campaign is a tradition that dates back to the Class of 1917, which gives graduating seniors the opportunity to help future UMass students by making a gift in honor of their graduation. The Senior Campaign is an excellent way to show our pride while beginning our own tradition of giving to UMass. This years campaign will benefit the continuing renovation of the third floor Reserve Reading Room in the W.E.B. Du Bois Library. The Class of 2000 was able to contribute over $13,000 dollars towards this project. The Class of 2001 hopes to build on this gift and leave a beautiful resource as our legacy to future UMass students. Please join us in supporting the Class of 2001 Senior Campaign by making a pledge when you are contacted by a classmate in the weeks to come. Any contribution you make will be greatly appreciated. Gifts of $250, $125, $65 and $35 will go a long way towards our goal of $25,000. Feel free to pay your pledge in installments and defer payments until after graduation. You may make your gift using Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. Your participation in this campaign will make a difference to UMass students present and future. Thank you in advance for your part in the Class of 2001 Senior Campaign.
