Career Development

Your career development starts now.  In collaboration with Career Service, we offer three annual career events to give you a competitive edge by establishing relationships with recruiters early on and developing the qualities of the ideal candidates.

Mock interviews are in person practice sessions in front of a recruiter who will give feedback on your interviewing skills and resume. Interviewers are recruiters who volunteer their time to prepare you for job interviews.  Mock interviews take place for one week in the months of November and March.

Diversity Career Fair is the largest career fair in the region, featuring recruiters interested in diversifying their candidate pool. It takes place annually on February in the Student Union Ballroom.  Students are strongly encouraged to attend in business attire, resume on hand and polished elevator pitch.

Networking Nights provide a safe environment for you to meet recruiters no matter your personality style.  These events offer an opportunity to engage one-on-one with recruiters to find out what they look for in a candidate and exchange contact information for the near future.
