Latinx American Cultural Center (LACC) [1]
Brief History: The Latinx American Cultural Center opened doors in 1989 in Moore Residence Hall in alliance with United Asia Cultural Center. Both centers closed for a period of strategic planning. The LACC reopened in 1995 in Hampden Dining Hall with a vision of education and inclusivity of identities which continues to present time.

Plantains and Our Becoming

Come and join us in reading poetry with Chancellor Reyes. Plantains and our Becoming by Melania Luisa Marte delves into the cultural significance of plantains being a staple food and how they can be representative of our own growth and adaptations. This is a poetry collection about identity, culture, home and belonging.
The first 20 students to RSVP will receive a free copy of the book.
