Civil Wars Conference

The Classics Departments at Amherst College and at the University of Massachusetts Amherst announce a conference on Rome and its civil wars to be held in November, 2007. This conference aims to address the cultural significance of civil war at Rome from a variety of perspectives, bringing together historians, literary critics, archaeologists, and art historians to offer their perspectives on the definitions, representations, dissimulations, and assimilations of Rome and its civil wars.
