The Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies (CLACLS) at UMass Amherst promotes research, training, and public engagement on the histories, cultures, and politics of Latin American and Caribbean peoples across the Americas and throughout the world.

Through an undergraduate and graduate certificate program and an undergraduate minor, you can build a comprehensive view of these cultures and societies to supplement your regular disciplinary studies or your professional career.

You'll take on a multidisciplinary perspective by choosing from courses in anthropology, geography, political science, economics, Spanish and Portuguese literatures, communication, history, sociology, and more.

You are also encouraged to take advantage of study-abroad opportunities for an immersive summer, semester, or year abroad.
