CIE hosts a number of academic events that provide professional development for graduate students and faculty within the department. Two of the following events are examples of the enriching opportunities that the Center provides.


CIES Regional Conference

CIE proudly hosted CIES 2013’s Northeast Regional Conference. The Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) with a broad network of 2,500 members is a scholarly association focused on fostering understanding of a variety of educational issues through cross-cultural and international perspectives. The conferences theme was Education in Uncertain Times focused on changes in education policy and systems due to increasing shifts in the global political, social, economy.
