This study examines factors that influence the implementation of quality assurance and accreditation (QAA) policy at teaching universities in Afghanistan. The research uses sensemaking and sensegiving (Weick, 1995) as a theoretical lens to analyze and interpret policy enactment at public Higher Education Institutions.

Mariam Rashid was awarded the Ambassador Cynthia Shepard Perry Award for the 2019-2020 academic year. The award was established to provide support for graduate students in international education or affiliated with the Center for International Education to help them pursue international field work.
