Sweeping changes in the state's public higher
education system, including the elimination of the University President's
Office and Board of Trustees, were proposed this week by Gov. Mitt
Romney as he outlined his Fiscal 2004 budget plan.
Students,
staff being called up for military service
The military build-up in the Middle East is requiring
some members of the campus community who are in the Army, Navy,
Marine Corps, Coast Guard or Air Force reserves or the Army National
Guard or Air National Guard to be called to active duty.

and Engineering libraries may be combined by the fall semester,
if the recommendations of a Faculty Senate committee are implemented.
