| Feb. 6 activities to showcase research,
teaching, learning
host of academic symposia and other activities
will be available for public attendance Feb. 6 as part of the campus's
celebration of Chancellor John V. Lombardi's inauguration.
The Lincoln Campus
Center is the site of most events, though others will take place
around campus.
Activities in
the Lincoln Campus Center include symposia on teaching, research
and learning, presented by faculty and students between 9:30 a.m.
and 5 p.m.
In addition, there
will be a student poster session in the Campus Center Auditorium;
multimedia academic displays in Room 163C; an Interdisciplinary
Programs reception in Room 165-169, which will include multimedia
demonstrations by the Neuroscience and Behavior, Organismic and
Evolutionary Biology, Plant Biology, Chemistry-Biology Interface
Training, Social Thought and Political Economy, and Women's Studies
programs; free hearing screening sponsored by the Department of
Communication Disorders in Room 177; and a display of faculty books
and article reprints on the Lower Level Concourse. Room 162-175
will be available for dropping off coats and for sampling light
refreshments between 12:30 and 2 p.m. |
