Chancellor to address faculty
by Sarah
R. Buchholz, Chronicle staff
he Faculty Senate will hear an address by Chancellor
John Lombardi, which will be followed by a question-and-answer period,
at its Sept. 19 meeting. There will be a special motion introduced
to thank former presiding officer and senator Frank Hugus for his
work in the senate, and elections for a number of key positions
will be conducted.
Because of Hugus' departure,
a new presiding officer, who also serves on the Rules Committee,
will be elected. Other Rules Committee seats that will be filled
at the Sept. 19 meeting include associate delegate to the Board
of Trustees, two at-large positions, and the chairship.
There also will be special
reports on General Education courses passed over the summer, nominations
for councils and committees, and the name change from the College
of Food and Natural Resources to the College of Natural Resources
and the Environment.
