Obituaries

Elizabeth M. Kennedy

Elizabeth M. Kennedy, 67, of Sunderland, a retired dietary worker I in Auxiliary Services, died May 17 in Northampton.

She served the University for more than 13 years before retiring in 1997.

She leaves her husband of 42 years, George H. Kennedy; three sons, George H. Jr. of Conway, William of Whately and Steven of South Deerfield; two sisters, a brother, four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Ladies Benevolent Society, Whately Congregational Church, Whately 01093.

A graveside service is scheduled for noon June 1 in the West Whately Cemetery, with a processional leaving Whately Congregational Church at 11:30 a.m.

Jennie M. Szkolt

Jennie M. Szkolt, 82, of Ware, a retired janitor in Physical Plant, died May 18 at home.

She served the University for more than five and a half years before retiring in 1983.

She previously had worked for Ware Knitters, Inc.

She leaves two sons, Paul Moryl of Ware and Peter Szkolt of the Bondsville section of Palmer; two sisters, Sophie Porowski and Celia Slozak, both of Ware; a brother, Frank Was, of Ware; and four grandchildren. Her husband, John Szkolt, and four brothers predeceased her.
