Podos named 'Outstanding New Investigator'
Biologist Jeffrey Podos has received the Outstanding New Investigator Award 2001 from the Animal Behavior Society (ABS).

Wier finalist for Phi Beta Kappa inaugural award
English professor Dara Wier is among five finalists in the inaugural Phi Beta Kappa poetry award competition. Wier is being considered for her book, "Voyages in English."

UMW tenure issues considered at Senate meeting
The Faculty Senate heard a presentation at its Nov. 1 meeting from the position of the American Association of University Professors' (AAUP) chapter on the Worcester campus about proposed changes in UMass Worcester's tenure policy.
