Auditor Gives Green Light to Privatization: Follett to Manage Store Starting July 1
The takeover of the University Store and Textbook Annex by a private firm cleared its last hurdle earlier this month when state auditor Joseph DeNucci approved the campus's contract with the Follett Higher Education Group.

eCollege.com Funds Building of Online Programs
The campus has received a grant of $207,000 from eCollege.com as part of the company's "100 Degrees Online Grant Program." The grant will be used toward building three online graduate degree programs and includes stipends for faculty who are developing online courses.

Error Gives 54 Staff a 2-Week Raise
A small number of professional staff accidentally received a temporary pay raise in their May 19 checks when a computer failed to screen them out of a larger group of union members who were eligible for the raise.

Campus Hosting College Chefs From Across US and Canada
More than 100 chefs from colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada will attend "Collegiate Cuisine 2000" on campus June 18-23. The event, is sponsored by Auxiliary Services.
