Senate Passes $21.6B Budget;
Next Step Up to Conference Committee
A proposed $21.6 billion Fiscal 2001 state budget virtually sailed through
the Senate last week, setting the stage for a six-member conference committee
to resolve differences between the plan and a $21.7 billion budget package
approved by the House in April.

Nearly 700 alumni, many from classes that graduated in the 1950s, are
scheduled to return to campus this weekend for reunion activities organized
by the Office of Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association.
