5 Suspended in Crackdown
on Student Misbehavior
Campus administrators went on the offensive against student misbehavior
this week, suspending five undergraduates who face court charges in two
separate incidents, including a late night campus disturbance during a
power outage last weekend.

Jean King to Address Graduating Class
Billie Jean King, one of the most celebrated tennis players in history
and a long-time champion for social change, will deliver the main address
at the 130th Commencement to be held Sunday, May 21 in Warren P. McGuirk
Alumni Stadium.

Undergraduate Commencement speaker Billie Jean King and six others, including

Students Charged with Rape
Three University students have been charged with raping a 15-year-old
Amherst girl in a campus residence hall and at an off-campus apartment
in February.

University Health Services (UHS) has one of the eight best campus HIV/AIDS
education and prevention efforts in the country, according to a recent
