Have you ever thought about what kind of job you might have one day? Use an on-line program called FOCUS to see what career choices might be best for you and how to pursue them. For ages 11-18.

Chemistry Department

1512 Lederle Graduate Research Tower

Experiments will include: Making "Silver" and "Gold" Pennies, A Chemical Volcano, Fun with Liquid Nitrogen & Dry Ice, Make a Shake, Exciting Molecules & Fighting Fire with Fire.  Each experiment lasts about 15 min.   (parents observe from another part of the lab room.). Participants need to sign up at information table. Limit of 30 per session. Sign-up is for all activities as one.  (Can't sign up for just one part.) Closed toe shoes required.

Learn how your ears and hearing work and how they even look inside. You’ll even conduct hearing tests on each other and use a visi pitch to see what the pitch of your voice looks like on a screen.

Physical Activity and Intelligence

1) Come see an interactive juggling and storytelling show where many things are tossed in the air and many young volunteers are needed to help out.
2) There is a new book series and TV show in the works called "Fractalia." In the adventure, kids have to save the land from the evil Kayoz and his kreatures. The kids must outwit Kayoz by solving his unique brand of puzzles called outties (they open outward to an unlimited number of answers). Come play along with the puzzles and learn about the new adventure series and TV show.
3) Does physical activity make you smarter?  Come participate in an experiment to test your mind and body.
