Congratulations to the Turner family, Paul, Bill, and Fred on being chosen as this year's Massachusetts Outstanding Dairy Farm. The three of them along with some of the family members milk 120 cows and farm over 300 acres of hay and corn in the beautiful hills of the Berkshires. They are one of the few farms around that bale large rectangular bales in Massachusetts which they manage well. Haylage and corn are stored both in bunkers and in bags, and their manure handling is outstanding. Also, Paul finds time to run a maple syrup operation, and Bill is the Town's Fire Chief.
