for a brief overview on what our vision is for the center. How will this information support farms in
our state? Will the private sector work with the regional center?
Sue Ellen said our
goal is to formulate a plan with the private sector and also gain political
support. At this point, we are the only

Farm Bureaus for support. The MA Farm
Bureau Annual Meeting is scheduled 11/30-12/01 in

inspected slaughter houses in southern

decide where we want to go for funding. A SARE proposal was submitted.

Stephen: Farm Bureau
needs to take a look at the state’s invasive species list. Reed Canary Grass is
now listed and farmers are unable to purchase the seed in the state.
