Post Graduate Internship Program
The Post Graduate Internship Program offers graduating seniors and UMass Amherst alumni an opportunity to participate in a field experience opportunity.
Career Services works with Continuing and Professional Education to administer the Program. Advisors help applicants focus on their goals, strengths and assets, and assist in preparing a resume, identifying opportunities, and developing a strategy to apply for either internship or co-op placements.
Post Graduate opportunities include positions in accounting firms, media and public relations, social service agencies, and many high tech companies. Internships may be completed during spring or fall semesters; co-op assignments may only be six months in duration or during a fall or spring semester.
There is a fee of $312 to enroll in this program. This covers all administrative and advising services, including advising sessions, the application process, interview preparation, and follow-up services by professional staff. Successful participants in this program will receive three continuing education credits (C.E.U.s) awarded through the Division of Continuing and Professional Education. Students do not maintain their student status with the university. Applicants who are not successful in finding an internship or co-op may receive a partial reimbursement of the enrollment fee.
