MARS is the acronym for Massachusetts Association for Recreational Sports.

The mission of this group is to connect collegiate recreation professionals from across the Baystate to better serve their participants and their employees.

Each year MARS holds a state workshop during the summer for the purpose of information exchange among programs, student and professional development and networking.

UMass Amherst Campus Recreation is proud to host this year’s workshop on Thursday, July 18th!  

Although hosted by UMass, several collegiate recreational professionals from across the state have worked collectively to put together presentation materials, registration information, social media, and outreach for what is sure to be an outstanding 2013 MARS Workshop!

Workshop Schedule

• Professional Staff Registration $30/professional staff
• Professional Staff Registration with Golf Tournament $70/professional staff
  
• Student Registration $15/student or 2 for 1
• Student Registration with Golf Tournament $55/student
• PDF registration form - especially helpful to those registering multiple staff members
  
  UMass Lowell has created the onlne registration forms.
  Online registration open through Monday, July 8th at 5pm.
  Registration includes a light breakfast and lunch.
  

There will be a separate student track that will benefit students new to NIRSA and those that want to become graduate assistants. We encourage students to bring a copy of their resumes and/or cover letter to be reviewed by seasoned professionals.
