Stumblin' Drunks 3, Sigma Alpha Mu 2

The resurrection of the fall weekend softball tourney saw 5 men’s teams compete in round robin with the top two teams going to the championship. When Sigma Alpha Mu and Stumblin’ Drunks met in round robin, SAMMY won 4-0. In this championship rematch, SAMMY got on the board in the top half of the first as Adam Blazer singled and scored on Josh Lieberman's single.

Stumblln’ Drunks came right back in their half of the first behind Darryl McClemmon’s and Chris Lipa's back-to­back singles to begin the inning,followed by two base on balls to Chris Fielding and captain Tim Koerner and two more hits from Andy Hession and Fielding brother, Jay. Stumblin’ Drunks led 3-1 after one.

Both teams settled into quiet innings with accurate pitching and solid defense. In the 4th, SAMMY inched closer when Ryan Vigue got on base and Justin Leafs fielders choice scored Vigue. In the 5th and down by a run, SAMMY hit the ball hard but right at people and the Drunks’defense came up big to secure the championship 3-2.
