Championship Summary:
ThetaChee defeated The Wall-E's 2 games to 1

Squash court room 88 in Boyden Gymnasium was the site of the Men’s Wallyball Championship game on the night of March 6th, 2014. It was set up to be a great contest from the start between ThetaChee and The WALL-Es. ThetaChee was the first to score and jump ahead to a 4-1 lead. A couple of great spikes by Zack Verette kept ThetaChee ahead of The WALL-Es 9-6. When ThetaChee jumped ahead 18-14 it seemed like this game was out of reach for The WALL-Es. But The WALL-Es weren’t done and they rallied back to score six straight points to win the first game 20-18.

Sebastian Fiss of The WALL-Es was able to get back to back blocks at the beginning of game two to put them ahead 2-0. After some resiliance from ThetaChee, they were able to knot it up at five. After The Wall-Es started to run away with the second game, it seemed like it was the end of the road for ThetaChee. But a switch went on for ThetaChee and they were able to win the second game and get some momemtum going into the 3rd game. ThetaChee was able to ride that momemtum all the way to a 20-12 win in the third game to declare themselves the Men’s Wallyball Champions.
