Championship Game Summary
Slammers 2, Hyptnotiq 1

This year's women's final featured the teams that met in last year's final, a close match in which HyptnotiQ won 15-6, 21-19. In the first game of this rematch, it was all HyptnotiQ who blew open a 7-0 lead behind the service of Rosanna Chow and strong net play from Takesha Bartley. The Slammers clawed their way back but could not overtake HyptnotiQ's marginal lead. HyptnotiQ narrowly took the first game 15-10.

The second game was much tighter throughout, with each team fighting for every point. The intensity and hustle of Stephanie Burgess helped the Slammers stay with HyptnotiQ and eventually take the lead 9-8. Slammers would increase their lead to 14-9. HyptnotiQ didn't quit and, with some crucial serving, were able to tie the game at 14. The game would go back and forth from there with the Slammers finally pulling out the 19-17 win to force a rally-scoring third game. Although both teams began fairly equally, the Slammers began to pull away behind the strong serves of Sandra Turcios-Payne. The Slammers went on to win the deciding game 20-7 to stake claim on this year's crown.
