Championship Summary
Tri-Star defeated Electric Fuzz 15-9, 15-9

Tri-Star, undefeated in league play, took on Electric Fuzz, playing with just five players, for the championship. Electric Fuzz took the early lead in game one behind captain Liza Hockstad’s serving. With the help of strong net play from captain Lauren Belding, Tn-Star came back to tie at 6, then increased the lead to 14-8, and eventually take game one 15-9.

In game two, Tn-Star took up where they left off in game one. Rachel Legon and Rachel Schutte were deadly from the serving stripe. Tn-Star’s early 9-4 lead was cut with more strong serving from Electric Fuzz’s Hockstad. In the end, Tn-Star’s teamwork to cover all the spots and consistent serving contributed greatly to their 15-9 second game win and the championship.
