Sideout defeated Team Scred 16-14, 15-10

Nineteen teams qualified for the 1995-96 Co-Rec Playoffs. Two undefeated teams emerged to face each other for the title: Sideout and Team Shred.

In game one, Sideout scored 5 points before Shred answered back. Shred fought all the way back to lead 14-12. Sideout strung together four tough points to take the game 16-14.

In game two, Shred took the early 5-0 lead and this time withstood Sideout's potent attack to win the game 15-9 and even the match. Game 3 started with Jim Blanchette’s jump serve ace. The points were hard fought. Sideout held a slim 5-4 lead when Blanchette’s jump serve broke open a 9-4 lead. Shred regrouped and tied the game at 9 all. Sideout would not be denied and surged ahead to win the game 15-10 and the title.
