Championship Game Summary
Tragic Skip-It Accident 11, Mutiny 3

Six teams participated in the ultimate frisbee tournament. The championship game was a match-up of the tournament's only two undefeated teams, Tragic Skip It Accident and Mutiny. Both teams went 2-0 in pool play on Friday and won their semifinal game on Saturday, with neither team having faced a real test heading into the final. High Rollers gave both teams their toughest matches of the tournament, losing 13-8 to Tragic Skip-It Accident in one of the semifinal matches and 9-5 to Mutiny during pool play.

Runner-up in last years tournament, Tragic Skip-It Accident seemed poised to claim victory in the final when 2 scores each by Andrew Apperson and Michael Whalen staked them to a 4-0 lead with 7 minutes left in the first half. Mutiny was able to cut the lead in half with scores by Dave Richter and Kevin Sullivan, but Silas Lowe connected with Whalen just before the half ended to make the score 5-2. The relentless attack of Tragic Skip-It Accident continued in the second half as the combination of Lowe to Whalen hooked up for 2 more scores. Whalen scored six goals in total, helping Tragic Skip It Accident cruise to an 11-3 victory.
