Old Geezers

Championship Game Summary
Old Geezers 15, BBSMI 4

The championship game pitted Old Geezers vs BBSMI. Old Geezers breezed through the double elimination tournament, only playing three games en route to the final. BBSMI, however, endured four games before solidifying their place in the championship. In the first half, under windy conditions where disc control was a necessity and short passes with strategically placed bombs seemed ideal, Old Geezers capitalized early on BBSMI's weaknesses and mistakes.

BBSMI seemed overwhelmed by the Geezers' experience and knowledge of Ultimate. Geezers'Jeff Youngblood scored four goals and Adam Zerda and Kris Lavery each scored twice to pace the Geezers to a 9-3 halftime lead. BBSMI's Malt Abt played well, scoring two goals. The second half seemed a foregone conclusion. Geezers scored six goals to 8BSMI's one in 13 minutes of play. Old Geezers scoring was spread out and their defense was stifling as they cruised to a 15-4 victory.
