Championship Game Summary
Dare Devils 2, Blue Ballers 1

The Dare Devils won their second straight women’s softball championship with a 9-2 win over Blue Ballers. When these two teams met in the regular season, the Dare Devils squeaked out a 2-1 win. Despite having only six players at the game, the Dare Devils played solid defense and failed to commit any errors. Amanda Prentice delivered a stellar performance on the mound as she racked up eight strikeouts. She got touched up in the fourth inning as Laura Amero of Blue Ballers ripped a double to left-center to score two runs. Prentice made her presence felt at the plate as well. From the leadoff spot where she went 5 for 5, she had two triples, a double and two singles that led to four RBI and three runs scored. Jennifer Rawlings helped out with two RBI from the number three spot in the lineup with key singles in the 2nd and 3rd innings. The 3rd inning clinched the game for the Dare Devils as they came up with five runs thanks to Dashira Mangual and Elizabeth Vargas who delivered clutch hits that drove in runs. The Dare Devils displayed their dominance all season long, finishing undefeated in the regular season and capturing the championship.
