Led by the strong play of Cristin Marriot and Ryan Kelly, Purple People Eaters, a singles team, sailed through the playoffs and captured this season's title. The Lollipop Gang had the easiest possible route to the final by winning via forfeit in their two playoff games. Purple People Eaters put the pressure on early in the final as they brought nine batters to the plate while scoring three runs in the top of the first inning.

Maybe a little shell-shocked, the Lollipop Gang took a few innings to warm up, their first hit not coming until the third inning. Purple People Eaters plated two more runs in the fourth inning behind a Marriot triple to provide a comfortable five-run cushion. Purple's pitcher Mary Prunier kept Lollipop Gang off balance at the plate. Purple People Eaters finished the inning with two quick outs to defeat Lollipop Gang 5-0.
